The Perano Enrico & Figli and the “Galletto” brand are born

Perano Enrico & Figli, in over sixty years of history, has made the most of its canning experience, reaching high levels of specialization in processing the Agro Nocerino – Sarnese tomato. It is a success story born in the 1950s when Enrico Perano laid the foundations of the future company.
After dedicating himself to the transport of tomatoes from the fields to the processing industries, in 1955 he bought a disused factory and with his four children started the local tomato processing business under the “Galletto” brand.
In 1961, the first changes were made to both the company name and the product range. Perano Enrico” became “Perano Enrico & Figli s.n.c.” and, in addition to the processing of tomatoes, new products were added, such as peaches in syrup and vegetables preserved in brine.

80's - 90's

The evolution of the brand

When Enrico died in 1973, the management of the company passed to his son Giulio. These were the years of the evolution of the “Galletto” brand, leading in 1981 to the transformation of the business into a S.p.A. and to new investments. The company, mainly specialized in the processing of Irpinia hillside and Apulian tomatoes, gained increasingly significant market shares.

With the death of Giulio in 1996, Ludovico and Vincenzo Perano took the positions of Managing Director and General Manager, respectively.

The years of growth

Enzo Perano, born in 1961, sole manager of Galletto Conserve – Perano Enrico & Figli S.p.A, today is the beating heart of the family business.

With him, the company experienced a double-digit growth over the last three years. Far-sighted and ambitious, driven by strong decision-making, he made dedication to work, reliability, and the search for product and process quality the keystone of the brand’s growth.

The environmentally friendly sustainable tomato

Perano Enrico & Figli Spa uses photovoltaic energy with a view to the sustainable and responsible management of natural resources.
The company, with its investment plan, continues to invest resources with the ambitious objective to ensure customers not only a good, healthy, and controlled product at all stages of the supply chain, but also low CO2 emissions.
In line with EU directives on global warming emergency, it is increasingly urgent to move towards a “green” economic paradigm, aimed at reducing the environmental impact of human activities by promoting the use of environmentally friendly technologies.
